Formed in 2003, the Osaka-based group is active throughout Japan and the world as they continue to be pioneers in the street dance scene, performing in festivals at home and overseas, with showcases in Europe and North America. They’ve been invited to perform by the Singaporean government for 6 years straight, and were guest performers at the Hong Kong World Trade Center’s countdown event. In addition, the group has signed with a sports company to use their image for characters to promote their brand. Constantly working on bringing their artistic vision to a higher level on the stage, they attracted more than 8,000 fans for their 2013-2014 10th anniversary live performances in Tokyo and Osaka. They were also invited as representatives from Japan for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of a Japan-Myanmar diplomatic relationship, which was held in the spring of 2014 in Yangon, the capital of Myanmar, where they entertained over 2,000 fired up guests. Exemplary representatives of Japan and its flag, WRECKING CREW ORCHESTRA also gave a speech at the Japanese embassy after the event. Their creation of the “EL Squad’s Dance of Light” video has been viewed on YouTube more than 25 million times. With performances given in 15 countries around the world, the group continues to attract attention for their Japan-based street dance entertainment.
